James Tupper Returns To Grey's Anatomy

James Tupper is coming out of the trees and returning to Seattle Grace… at least for a while, according to TVLine. The former Men in Trees star appeared on Grey’s Anatomy at the beginning of the season as Doctor Andrew Perkins, a psychologist who was brought in to evaluate the residents after last season’s mass shooting. Being Grey’s Anatomy, the good doctor also found time to get a thing going with Kim Raver’s Dr. Teddy.
Tupper will be back for a three-episode arc at the end of the season, but there are no further details at the moment about what brings him back into the storyline. With Grey’s habit of taking popular recurring characters and making them a part of the regular cast, I think there’s a decent chance that ‘McTreemy’ could find himself in the regular line-up if his comeback is as popular as his debut.
